Wellness Exams and Health Screenings
Prevention is the best medicine! That’s why Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics provides routine checkups and health screenings for children and adolescents. Our providers perform physical exams and screenings based on age-specific industry guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Services vary by location but include:
- Routinely scheduled well-child exams (see age-specific wellness exam guidelines)
- School, camp, mission and sports physicals
- Vaccinations/immunizations (see age-specific vaccine recommendations)
- Developmental screenings
- Care for children with special health care needs
- Behavioral and mental health services
- Vision screenings, including GoCheck Kids™ photo-screening for vision problems
- Hearing screenings
- Oral health screenings
- Blood testing (as needed)
- Weight management and nutrition consultations
Treatment for Illnesses and Injuries
Unfortunately, getting sick and suffering injuries are normal parts of life. At Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics, we are here to help when life happens. Our health care teams have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating many different health conditions, including but not limited to:
- Cold/flu symptoms like a runny nose, cough, sore throat and fever
- Other viral illnesses such as bronchitis, pink eye, tonsillitis, strep throat and whooping cough (pertussis)
- Bacterial infections like sinus, ear and urinary tract infections
- Nausea, diarrhea and vomiting
- Minor pains and sports-related injuries
- Allergy and asthma care
- Minor skin conditions
- Management of chronic illnesses like diabetes and cancer

Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics also offers several services for our youngest patients and newest parents. Services include:
